Elite Series News : Andy Williams takes his first Elite win in the desert sun at Phoenix!
Elite Series News
Andy Williams and his South West sponsored #32 Chevy capture their first ever ISRL Elite Series victory. "Wow this was awesome and I showed everyone that I belong here too" a very excited WIlliams said right after climbing out of his car. The 156 lap was a typical Phoenix race with plenty of cautions during the first half of the race but around lap 77 things did quite down and the Elite drivers then put on a show. Williams who is no slouch when it comes to leading or driving with the lead cars made his move halfway through this 156 lap race, " our South West Chevy car tonight was in tune and we are happy with the way our pit crew helped us out tonight too during pitting". Andy is leading in the Pro Fixed Series overall points championship and tonight showed us that not only is he ready for the big boys but he has now left his calling card with tonight's win. Williams was able to hold off 2nd place finisher Scott Renolds in his #39 Chevy sponsored Wide Open Throttle car in the closing laps as the gap went from over 3 seconds to just under 1 second. "After our wreck in the middle of the race the car would not drive the same in traffic, when I was alone the car was great but we had too much rear and front damage", Renolds said of his 2nd place podium spot. "But overall we are happy with the finish even though we really had the car to win tonight, we will take 2nd and head into Homestead on a positive. Scott for the second time in a row makes it to the 2nd place podium spot with tonight's race at Phoenix, his last race at Atlanta he also took 2nd. Ray Moss who was whisked away by helicopter right after the race had to leave due to a personnel thing but did manage to say one thing, " we had a blast tonight and we are happy to finish in 3rd". Ray hopefully will be available for a few comments during the week and when we get it we will post it right here!

All in all the Elite race was pretty good, if not for the first 6 cautions all before lap 48 this would have been a perfect race but who are we kidding here, it's Phoenix! More on this article to follow...

Pro Fixed Series News : CRISP TAKES HOME THE CHECKERED FLAG AT PHOENIX!
Pro Fixed Series News
Jarrot Crisp takes home the win at the ISRL Pro Phoenix 300 tonight in a 94 lap race that saw a terrific battle until the checkered flag was waved. Jarrot out dueled Andy Williams in the closing laps to make this 94 lap race come down to one perfect lap. Williams who is no stranger to wins tried to get around Crisp but could not find it. "I was hoping that Jarrot would maybe get loose or something because he was hard to pass", Andy said of the final laps of the race. "I gambled and stayed out there and the caution before that I only took 2 tires", winner Crisp said after the race. Phoenix is the type of track where track position is everything. John Kennedy took 3rd but not without a little controversy. In the last 10 laps of the race it was Crisp and Williams battling for first then it was Don Kelligrew in 3rd Kennedy in 4rth and Rob Harbo right behind in 5th. The battle was for 3rd and it looked like Don had this under control but that was until the final lap when Kennedy who appeared to be a little quicker than Kelligrew throughout the last 11 laps gave Don a nudge coming into turn three, Don tried real hard to keep it straight but wasn't able too and spun in turn three, John passed and then crossed the line in 3rd place. After the race John went up to Don and apologized and said that he didn't want to take home 3rd that way. Of coarse both drivers shook hands and went on with being friends again. It was a hard fought race by all of the drivers that saw all 5 cautions solo spins. Rob Harbo takeks 4th and Don Kelligrew eventually crossed the line in 5th...

Pro Fixed Series News : JARROT CRISP IS TOP COWBOY AT TEXAS!
Pro Fixed Series News
Jarrot Crisp rides into Texas tonight and ropes himself a victory and out duels Toby Holsted at the Pro Texas 300 tonight. Crisp and his #48 Chevy lead most of this 100 lap race but had no time to relax as he found Andy Williams and more often than not, Toby Holsted in that #66 very bright RED car breathing down his neck every lap he lead. "It was very hard to lead and especially with Toby and Andy behind me" Crisp said after the race. Jarrots first words tonight right after pulling into victory lane and climbing out of his #48 Chevy car were, "this was a great victory and I am so happy for our team and the way our car ran tonight". Toby who is no stranger to duels up front to the point that we may just call him ZORRO from now on made a run for the front but wasn't able to pull it off as Crisp really out drove him in the last 20 laps. " I tried pretty much everything but Jarrot just out drove me but it was fun I tell ya", a smiling Holsted said after the 100 lap race. "I must say that we almost had a flawless race and Crisp still outdrove us, just shows you the talent we have in the Pro Series". Overall Pro Series points leader by only 152 points Andy Williams again takes a top five making it 12 for the year so far has to fight off Danny Shope for 3rd tonight. Williams who is ahead of Toby in the overall points by 152 points said after the race, " as long as we keep running top fives and some podium spots we are a happy crew". " We thought we had a really good car tonight and I am very happy with the results", the #32 Chevy Williams added.

Elite Series News : Toby makes it 2 in a row at ATLANTA TONIGHT!
Elite Series News
Toby Holsted wins his second race in a row here at Atlanta in the SCE Atlanta 500. 162 laps that saw plenty of green flag racing with the first caution coming out on lap 85. After that there were 2 more cautions but it was Toby out lasting and pulling away from 2nd place finisher Scott Renolds. Danny Shope out duels Ray Moss in the closing laps to take the final podium spot and take home 3rd in another amazing Elite race that also saw a pretty good turnout of drivers with 22 starting and if it were not for a late race technical glitch that saw 4 drivers get DQ'd, we would have most likely have had 20 of the 22 drivers finish the race. But on the hole the race was a great race and most drivers walked away looking forward to next's week's race...

Elite Series News : HOLSTED IS KING OF MARTY FOR 1 NIGHT!
Elite Series News
Toby Holsted captures the SCE Elite Marty 500 and make its 6 victories for the season in this wild Marty race tonight. 250 laps at Marty and Toby Holsted stands on top of the top podium spot and also increases his overall points lead by only a gazillion points over Tom McKeever who also finishes tonight's race in 2nd place. McKeever who finished in 2nd place tonight also keeps a strangle hold on second place overall over tonight's 3rd place finisher and who ironically is also in 3rd overall in the points standings, Ray Moss. Moss comes from the back of the field to grab the last podium spot in what most would call "a typical Marty race", with plenty of cautions and enough green flag runs too. More on this article to come....promise!
